weekend

hmm.. bkt nga ba "weekend" ang tawag sa Sat and Sun samantalang Sunday ang first day of the week?

Saturday - restful

I slept at 3am, so my day began at around 2pm. I took a shower and had lunch at a nearby Chowking. Then, I went to Piandre to try the services they are offering at 50% off the regular price. I think I spent 2 hours for the Hair and Foot Spa. The promo also incuded a back massage for Php 625 (Hair Spa = 650 + Foot Spa = 600). Not bad.

Afterwards, I went to Glorietta and was able to buy a hard bound copy of It Was on Fire When I Lay Down on It by Robert Fulghum) at the Diplomat Booksale for only Php150. Not bad.

Fulghum is known for the book "All I Really Need to Know I Learned In Kindergarten" but I haven't read it. I once bought a copy but I gave it as a gift. But I have a copy of his Maybe (Maybe Not) Second Thoughts from A Secret Life which I got from a Gabay Rummage Sale for only Php25. Not bad.

I enjoy reading his writings on simple everyday things. I don't always get his ideas or agree with what he says but they make me think and ponder. His stories make me smile, laugh, teary-eyed, inspired. I hope I can live life like that. I'm trying.

I had burger and fries for dinner at Wendy's then went home (I meant boarding house. There's a big difference.). Keanna Reeves made my day (night) with her quotable quote on PBB.

Keanna while having a dispute with Mich:

"KFC ka kasi... ay, KSP pala." (something like that)

Sunday - painful

Got up from bed around 2pm and immidiaetly took a shower. I was planning to go to the mall to have a late lunch and buy some things. I was about to finish my bath when I felt a sharp pain in my lower abdomen and I started to get dizzy. This was not the first time and I knew it was going to be bad.

I managed to finish my bath and dried myself with the towel. I saw my face in the mirror -- pale and white. Breathing has becomed an effort.

I lied in bed with only a towel wrapped around me. After a while, I got up and got dressed. If I were alone in the room, I could have stayed undressed like that. My roommate woke up and started to talk to me. I can only manage to answer in 2 or 3 words. We've only been roommates for a few months so I tried hard to talk so she won't think I'm rude.

I couldn't stand the pain anymore so I asked her if she had any pain reliever (I have ran out of mefenamic acid). She didn't have any but she was kind enough to buy for me. I haven't eaten anything so I also asked her to get me something to eat, bread or something like that.

I was shaking when she handed me the medicine. I took it, had a small bite of the bread and lied down. God, it was so painful. I wished I would just die (well, half-wished only) but I know it wasn't yet time as no memories came flashing back and I couldn't see any light at the end of a tunnel.

Then, everything went dark and quiet. I don't know if I have lost consiousnes or have fallen asleep. It was already 430pm when I woke up. The pain was gone but I still felt a little light headed.

I have this almost every month. Sometimes the pain won't even let me sleep. So, if you've been burned and hurt in life, love, etc in terms of experience, I probably can't relate but with the pain that comes with it, I probably can.
