kuha habang naka-tambay sa bench along orchard road in SG. cute kse nun bata, parang big doll na dala-dala ng daddy nya.
Our flight to SG was delayed by 2 hours due to the bad weather last Saturday night.
But I didn't expect the flight back to be delayed again! That means we will leave SG at 240am and I have to go to work tomorrow. Another sabog day for me.
September is almost done and I don't have a single post! So, here's a quick one.
Highlight of the week (even for the month!) was watching the ADMU-DLSU game yesterday. As we all know, it was a close game and we won by just 1 point! Honestly, part of me have accepted that it's goodbye finals during the last 2 minutes of the game. But then.. Chris Tiu is the man! I hope we win on Sunday!
There's also this other thing that makes me feel excited and scared at the same time. But unfortunately, I can't write about the details.
And oh, we have just moved in to our new place. It's a small 1-bedroom flat somewhere in JP Rizal. Maybe 'tiny' is a better term to use. Imagine, our room can only accommodate 3 single mattresses, 3 laundry baskets and a small fan. And the door cannot be closed!
I'm off to SG tomorrow night. I'm scared of flying, so most probably I'll just sleep throughout the flight. And I'm on a low budget, so sorry if I will not be able to buy pasalubong. :p
I guess that's about it. Have to leave now to celebrate a friends birthday.

it was a long weekend, so i spent it here in nueva.
weekends in nueva means free food and cable tv. while channel surfing, i landed at ESPN and i learned something new: sport stacking. i didn't even know something like that existed but i was so amazed and entertained watching the participants (the youngest was a 3-year-old girl!). i even wanted to try it out myself, but i think they are using a special type of cups.
here's a sample clip from youtube:
or visit http://www.worldsportstackingassociation.org/. :)
since i've heard the duet version of Tony Bennett and Shawn Colvin of this song, i've always imagined me and daddy singing in the same way.. such a happy and hopeful song. :)
Young At Heart
Fairy tales can come true, it can happen to you
If youre young at heart
For its hard, you will find, to be narrow of mind
If youre young at heart
You can go to extremes with impossible schemes
You can laugh when your dreams fall apart at the seams
And life gets more exciting with each passing day
And love is either in your heart or on its way
Don't you know that its worth every treasure on earth
To be young at heart
For as rich as you are its much better by far
To be young at heart
And if you should survive to 105
Look at all youll derive out of being alive
Then here is the best part
You have a head start
If you are among the very young at heart
And if you should survive to 105
Look at all youll derive out of being alive
Then here is the best part
You have a head start
If you are among the very young at heart
one of the main reasons why i watch grey's is the music they feature in each episode. and because i had no training session scheduled yesterday, i checked the website and copied the titles of the songs featured during the previous 3 seasons.
roughly 300 songs all in all! OMG!
i made a checklist and i only have 37 songs in my laptop (ok, not mine. office laptop). these would include the tracks in the vol 1 and vol 2 soundtracks and additional tracks from some mixed collection (w/c is way way better than the collection in vol 1&2) shared here in the office.
my favorites would include:
Breathe by Anna Nalick
Colors by Amos Lee
How To Save A Life by The Fray
I Hate Everyone by Get Set Go
I Melt With You by Nouvelle Vague
Infinity by Merrick
Scratch by Kendall Payne
Somewhere Only We Know by Keane
Wait by Get Set Go
Where Does the Good Go by Tegan and Sara
and so, my new goal in life is to complete the list with the help from some of my friends. big thanks to them! :D
with the next season coming up, roughly 100 songs would be added to the list. so, good luck to me!
----------
another set to collect is the OTH soundtrack. currently, i have vol 1 & 2 and the enhanced season 2 soundtracks. i have yet to check if there are new volumes available.
over YM with a Thai AM who came here last March..
ava: you've been w/ d company for 3 months already, right?
natawun: 4 months already na
ava: are you using the tagalog "na"?
natawun: no, it's a Thai "na"
natawun: like the SG "lah"
ava: oh.. ok
natawun: u hv "na" too?
ava: yes, and dt wld be redundant bcoz "na" means "already"
natawun: our "na" doesn't have any meaning
natawun: oh.. so, "i have had lunch na"
ava: :))
ava: if you say dat, ppol will either laugh or frown at you
natawun: y? what's wrong?
ava: the phrase construction is correct... but dat's wt we call coñotic
language here
natawun: confuse me more please..
ava: hmm.. im trying my best to explain
natawun: hahaha
ava: it's how some rich ppol wld talk
natawun: hahaha dt is so me..
ava: yeah.. hahaha
over lunch with a Korean AM last April..
jiyoen: why do you say "ok lang" instead of just "ok"? what does "lang" mean?
me: hmm.. [thinks hard]
me: it's like the "lah" in singapore. we just add it because "ok" is very
short.
-end of conversation-
(ang hirap i-explain e! hehehe)
me: what soap operas do you watch? a lot of them are famous here..
jiyoen: i don't really watch local ones
me: so, what do you watch?
jiyoen: desperate housewives, csi, prison break..
now we're talking!)
while walking around greenbelt with the SG trainer who is here in manila..
robin: wo lei lah.. [talking to himself]
me: what did you say?
robin: wo lei lah..
me: oh, i know that.. [thinks for a moment]
robin: "wo" means?
me: "wo" is "I"
robin: yes. "lei" is?
me: hmm.. "tired!" you are tired already?
robin: how did you know that?
me: i took level 1 Mandarin. ni lei pu lei? (literally, "are you tired or not
tired?")
robin: correct. you're good.
over dinner with the same SG trainer..
me: i forgot the word.. (i wanted to say "sayang")
robin: what word?
me: are you kidding me? i said i forgot the word and then you are asking me "what word?"
robin: [laughs]
I'm posting this while on training. My trainee (who is from SG) is doing his exercises and I'm a little bored.
Last night was fun, though. We watched Transformers and it was very entertaining. Who knew robots can be cute and funny?
While waiting for 10 pm, we (Ralph, our Senior Trainer; Robin, our SG visitor; me) had dinner at World Chicken. Then, we played House of the Dead and Mario Kart at Time Zone. For the nth time, I was one of the boys. But no, I'm not complaining.

"It looks like you don't want to be found.
I don't know the reason why you disappeared.
It's sad that I may never find out.
And it would be tragic to find out too late.
I need you to know that I've looked for you.
That I've tried.
And this letter means I'm still trying."
This is what I would have written if only I knew where to send it.
Let's go raining on the sky
Throw a kiss and wave goodbye
Let's go raining on the sky
And one kiss seals the tie
When your heart aches with horizon
Caked eyelash, torn nylon
When the light breaks through and frightens you
You'll hear the cry to come raining on the sky

She just keeps on trying
And she smiles when she feels like crying
On and on, on and on, on and on..
my older brother texted me last sat: "may dsl na ko.. may frndster ka ba?"
i said yes and told him to just search for my name.
the following day, he sent another msg: "sino bf mo d2?"
i replied, "nyek. wala akong bf.."
then, he textmed me again: "gf?"
then i said, "lalo namang wala. wag ka mag-alala, ndi ako lesbian. hehe"
he used to tease me with those things when we were younger. sbe ko nga baka nakapalit kami kse mas maarte pa sya sa kn. tapos there was a time na nakikipagsabunutan sya sa kin. hehehe syempre lugi ako kase maigsi yun buhok nya.

Sometimes God has his funny ways of reminding you of things.
I texted some guy friends (because the girls would not be available) to have dinner on tonight. The place was yet to be decided and I think 2 of them were texting each other last night. Accidentally, someone sent the message to me. It roughly says something like this:
"Hindi ko alam kung may bf na si ava. Pero tingin ko magkakatuluyan sila ni ____. Hanggang panagarap na lang ako."
I couldn't help but laugh when I read the message. Mga chismoso! hehehe
Oh well.. let's see how tonight goes.
Wednesday
I woke up because of a phone call a little past 8 am..
"hello?"
"hello, ava.."
"sino to?"
"si ria. tumawag si miyuki. may training daw kayo today?"
"yeah.. 9am"
I looked at my watch and after a few seconds, I was saying to myself "oh shit!"
I did a stupid (but honest) mistake of telling her yesterday that our training was 9am Tokyo time.
The whole Japan team was waiting for me for 1 hour. And I kept apologizing in my emails until the end of the day. Miyuki said it was fine and that she was only joking when she emailed "Thank you for your training today (although we had confusion for starting time....)".
Good thing we had another training session the following day. And I had the chance to redeem myself.
And I think she has forgotten about it because at the end of her email this afternoon, she said "Have a nice weekend! Weather here in May is just fine..." And I wasn't asking about their weather! hehe
-------------------
Thursday
I was thinking about how I will go about the training (after yesterday's boo boo)while walking to the office. I noticed that the pavement was a little wet. I was recalling if it rained that night when my right foot suddenly slipped. I tried to support myself with my left foot but it was useless.
I feel on my butt and I accidentally sat on the laptop bag (with the laptop inside!). Good thing it was still a llittle early and there were no cars passing by. I didn't look around to see if there were people who saw me. It was better that way. But the guard was just across me and I heard him say "tsktsk". He didn't even ask if I was ok. Bad Manong Guard!
What a way to start the day!
..than having to wear a splint?
having to wear braces at the same time
..than wearing a splint and braces at the same time?
of course, paying for it using your own money (i wished i had this tmj thing when i was not yet working. at least i would have an excuse.
the word "suddenly" just fits perfectly to how it was before and how it is now..

L: You've always been this possibility for me. This wonderful possibility. But it's just not right. And I'm so sorry. I'm so sorry.
C: Yeah. I guess I should have known, huh? It took me twenty years to get you to say yes.
L: I need you to know that you're the man I want to want.
C: I know.
L: You have no idea how badly I wish...
C: I do. I do know. I do

oo na, wala akong ginagawa ngaun. walang pakialamanan.
I read the news yesterday.
And this morning, a colleague sent me the link to her blog. It makes me very very sad.
Over the weekend, I was able to watch 2 movies. And by coincidence, they have the same theme – deception.
The Illusionist (2006)
Edward Norton and Jessica Biel
The Usual Suspects (1995)
Kevin Spacey, Gabriel Byrne, Benicio Del Toro, Kevin Pollak, Michael McManus
Both were good, so watch them when you get the chance.
--------------------------
I can’t help but think of the celebrities who are running for office this May while I was watching Man of the Year. Robin Williams plays a comedian/talk show host who ran for President of the US and won. But in the movie, he really is someone who knows a lot about what he is doing.
During the campaign period, he was very serious during the interviews and speeches that his staff were pushing him to bring back his funny side because that’s what the public love about him. But he refuses to because he says politics is serious stuff.
There’s not a lot of twists in the story but it will get you to think on what you would do if you were the lead male and the lead female character.
Some quotable quotes:
“Mr. Dobbs, please don’t make a mockery out of this debate.”
“Ma’am, it was a mockery a long time before I came here.”
“Perception of legitimacy is more important than legitimacy itself. That’s the greater truth.”
“I underestimated you.”
“Well, just between me and you Mr. President, you didn’t underestimate me at all.”
“TV scares me. It makes everything seem credible.”
“This is where I belong, with folks like you, finding the funk in dysfunctional.”
“Politicians are a lot like diapers. And they should be changed frequently and for the same reason.”
One of the funniest (and sweetest) father-daughter stories I’ve heard is this:
My ex-roommate’s friend/roommate in college once texted her dad “I’m home na.” when she got back to their dorm.
Her dad replied, “That is not your home. That is your dorm. Your home is here.”
---------------------------
This, on the other hand, is one of the saddest:
O: How’s it going to be for the two of you after we graduate? You’ll be going to
different schools.
H: When video phones become available, we’ll just get one.
B:
H: Besides, if it’s meant to be...
Years after..
B: Remember that time when you asked us how it’s going to be after graduation?
O: The video phone?
B: Funny, we now have 3G.
H: We are not on the same network, so it’s not possible.
B: Yeah. But even if we are, it still isn’t. It no longer is...
“I’m not my real self when I’m here (province). My life is just different when I’m in Manila”, a friend of mine said the other day while we were strolling in the mall.
“I agree and I get what you mean”, I said. “That’s the difficult part for us – to call this place home yet live your life somewhere else.”
-------------------------------
It appears that one of the saddest point of life is to be surrounded with family and friends and yet no one knows what really is going on inside one’s mind or how one is feeling.
There are times when you want to share something to these people but they don’t want to hear the details, just the main point. But the reality is, sometimes there is no main point. There are just bits and pieces of your day to day struggle with hope and fear. And you just want them to hear you out and hope that they could probably put those things together and make sense out of it.
-------------------------------
I turned 23 last month. Some friends would say that I am still young. I would reply back that the one year difference in our age doesn’t really matter. But they insist that it does.
Somehow they got me thinking if it actually was true. But then, I realized that age alone cannot be judged on its own. The number of years should go along with the number of things you have done regardless if it was successful or not or whether it is grand or simple. It could be something like:
learning to play a musical instrument
almost/failing a class
sky jumping
reading a hundred books
loving someone and being loved back (or not)
speaking in public
riding the train that goes the opposite way
being promoted at work
singing in a choir
getting a second degree
climbing a mountain
falling asleep in a bus and missing your stop
I guess what I’m trying to point out is if you have filled these years with a lot of experiences and adventures, then you wouldn’t feel old at all. Because as you look back, you can say to yourself “Yeah, I’ve done that and I’m only ____ .” or “I’m only ______, I still have time to do that.”
by the time na magka-oras ako, malamang paso na yun. oh, well..
this has been a busy week but very much enjoyable. it makes me look forward to the coming days. sana ok din sila. :)
Last Sunday afternoon, I made a a list of the "bad things" I've done and the "good things" I should've done but didn't. Then, I went to Greenbelt chapel and had confession.
Habang nakapila ako, may nagtanong na mama: "Are you lining-up to hear confession?"
Ayoko kasing may makalimutan.
After ko i-enumerate lahat, sabi nya pray the Act of Contrition. Tapos hindi sya nagsasalita. After a few seconds sabi nya, "Do you know how to pray? Are you praying right now?"
Nakakatuwa yun pari. The homily was about patience. At may kahabaan kaya mate-test talaga ang patience mo. haha
Sa end ng mass, pinapunta lahat ng may bday or anniversary sa month ng March para sa special prayer and blessing.
I like that song. :)
-------------------------
Last Friday, tinext ako ng friend ko. Na-check na nya yun grades from last sem.
-------------------------
LSS ko ngaun yun Gravity ng U-Turn (not sure kung sila yun original): "But what's the matter with gravity? Why won't it make you fall for me."
Yey! for the Php1 flights by Cebu Pacific. I’ll be able to go to SG on October and in Davao on Nov.
Yey! Also for my boss who has approved my VL’s on those dates.
--------------------------------------
I was booking the flights last Saturday night when Migs logged in to YM. We were able to use the “call” function of YM after I was done with the reservation.
It was my first time to use it, so I found it cool. There was one problem though, the mic connected to my headset was not working! Here are some excerpts from our conversation/chat (not sure what to call it):
ava: pano ba mag-call?
ava: hehe.. ndi ako marunong
miguel: may headset ba diyan?
ava: meron
miguel: kewl
miguel: hello
miguel: naririnig mo ako
ava: nadidinig kita
ava: e ako?
miguel: di kita naririnig
ava: teka, may kelangan daw ayusin
miguel: okidoks
after a few minutes..
ava: ayaw pa dn?
ava: pano ko malalaman?
ava: hehe
ava: nakakatawa naman to
ava: teka, tanong ko sa kanila
ava: teka.. ulit
miguel: ok
still unsuccessful..
ava: ano gawin ko?
ava: ndi alam nun nand2 e
ava: yep
ava: ano? (may dumaan na trike e.. hehehe)
ava: e nakasama sa headset
ava: ok, check ko
ava: naka-connect naman
ava: saan?
ava: ok
ava: ndi umiilaw :(
ava: ayaw..
ava: :p
ava: ano? lakasan mo
ava: ah..
ava: hehehe
ava: :))
ava: ganito pala feeling ng mute
ava: meron
ava: haha
ava: ok, pano?
ava: ha?
ava: ata
ava: tapos?
ava: ulit..
ava: ok na?
after sometime..
ava: nakakapagod to a
ava: daya!
ava: haha.. bkt wala kayong rice cooker
ava: napapalaban yun typing skills ko
ava: nag-hang yun webcam mo
ava: ndi ka gumagalaw
ava: ayan
Mahaba pa yun usapan namin kaya lugi talaga ako.
something doesn't feel right.. something has to change.
Read more...Saturday was hectic but fun.
It was Baby Migz' baptism, so we had free lunch. hehe
I had my TMJ therapy around 3pm and watched The Promise afterwards with Mai, Dionne and Lyra at Robinson's Galleria. We were supposed to watch The Holiday but Mai has a DVD, so opted for the former.
The movie was long (about 2 hours) and we had to bear with the group seated behind us. I know I also comment on movies pero hindi kasing lakas ng boses nila. Buti na lng nakakatawa yun ibang hirit nila.
After the movie, I went to Ateneo to watch Sandaang Panaginip with A. Kams and Dulce. Then, we accompanied her to the LFN but we just stayed outside since we are not really participants in the event.
Around 1030pm, Janina called and invited me for an overnight at Westin (now Hotel Philippine Plaza). They had an event but not all the participants are staying for the night, hence there are free rooms.
It was the eve of the Chinese New Year, so we were able to watch some fireworks along our way to the hotel.
Matagal na kami hindi nakakapag-usap so kwentuhan kami until around 2am. It's a good thing the breakfast buffet was until 1030am kaya umabot pa din kami kahit late na nagising.
The room was was under the name of a certain Dr. Angelita Go, so we were laughing when the waiter confirmed it he had the correct name. None of us looked Chinese and I think we were too young to be doctors.
Anong nangyayari? Hindi naman pasko. Dapat mainit dahil malapit na ang summer.
Nakakaantok tuloy. At dahil dun 2 araw na akong unproductive dito sa office. Hindi ko matapos tapos yun ginagawa ko. Ayaw gumana ng utak ko e.
Tapos parang ang lungkot pa ng pakiramdam. Well, hindi naman malungkot as in "malungkit". (Ang labo nun a?) Basta iba lang.
I was cleaning up my inbox when I saw this.
At least someone was happy and productive at work today. :)
A note from the Post Office was in my table last last Monday. It says I have to pick up a package. I got a little scared at first since I couldn't think of anyone who could be sending me something. The note says that the contents still needed to be checked by the customs. It could be something illegal.
Anyway, I went to pick it up before lunch since the Makati Post Office is just 5 minutes away.
To my surprise, it was from Nabuur (one of my online volunteering orgs). Straight from the Netherlands!
-->> Weird though, because it has a Canadian stamp.
-->>> I got a Nabuur shirt, but I think it is in XXL. hehe
-->> And a letter from the Nabuur staff.
-->> The back of the letter had caricatures which I think was done by Siegfried Woldhek, who is Nabuur's founder (also CEO of WWF-Netherlands from 1990 to 1998). He is also famous for making literary and political portraits for leading Dutch newspapers.
Visit www.woldhek.nl for more interesting info.

tapos magugulat na lang ako pag may nag-YM tapos 'out of nowhere' yun message.
nun pala, sinasagot nila yun tanong.. hehe :)

I realized that I'm not that good at keeping relationships when we are separated by distance or when we rarely see or talk to each other. It requires effort on my part, sort of warming up.
But then, there are these people that grow but seem to never change. And that helps a lot.
I had this long post earlier but for some reason the computer stopped responding. I don't like to redo it, so let me just wish you all a merry xmas!
Read more...Two weeks ago, I went to see a TMJ specialist to finally put an end to my clicking-locking-painful jaw. 3 x-rays and several other procedures confirmed that indeed I have a TMJ dysfunction.
I have a deep bite and my right condyle is less than a millimeter away from my temporal bone. Hence, the clicking and the pain. My left condyle is only a millimeter away. The normal distance should be 3 millimeters.
Also, I can only open my mouth to a max of 29 millimeters. The normal range is 40 millimeters. (Yes, I have been having difficulties with biting but it does not stop me from eating a lot in the past few months.)
The dentist said I need to undergo theraphy and wear a splint (bite plate) 24/7 for 3-6 months to correct my bite. The splint and the theraphy would cost me 30 thousand.
Afterwards, she said I need to wear braces. And that would cost a minimum of 40 thousand. Goodness! Sakit ng mayaman pala ito.
I'm not too sure if I really needed the braces. So, I'll have to ask other dentists. I don't want to wear one because it looks painful. And it costs a lot. So, austerity measures na naman ito.
I'll be officially starting my theraphy tomorrow. I hope the splint isn't uncomfortable and that I wouldn't have any speech difficulties while wearing it.

we went apartment hunting last Sunday and found a couple of intereseting ones.
one costs 15-16t hou a month (ndi pa confirmed w/c one). 2 flrs, 2 bedrooms, 2 t&b. it was new and nice and clean and spacious.
the other costs 16thou a month. 2 flrs, 2 bedrooms dn. mas malapit compared dun sa previous one.
i asked my housemate why we are leaning towards the first one when the latter is nearer. sbe nya, "pink yun eh.."

I received a Hershey's Milk Chocolate with Almonds bar today with a note saying:

Mommy
Kung sino ka man Mommy, I love your sense of humor. hehehe
I still don't have a phone. I applied for a new line so I can get a free phone and it is already approved. But then, they had no stock of the unit I wanted. Well, not exactly because I want the red one and the guy told me they only have silver.
What is the point of displaying a red unit when they don't actually have one? At the end of each of his explanations I would reply "eh gusto ko ng red". I was like a child bargaining with him.
But I'm still hoping for a miracle. I really want the red phone.
May nakasakay akong Korean family last Saturday nung pauwi ako sa Nueva.
Naiinis ako kase parang masyado nilang pinapalaki yun issue.
It turns out sa WalterMart sa Gapan, N.E. sila pupunta.
As Lovers Go Lyrics
by Dashboard Confessional
She said, "I've got to be honest,
You're wasting your time if you're fishin' around here."
And I said, "You must be mistaken,
I'm not foolin', this feelin' is real."
She said, "You've gotta be crazy!
What do you take me for? Some kinda of easy mark?"
"You've got wits,
You've got looks,
You've got passion,
But I swear that you've got me all wrong."
All wrong
All wrong
But you've got me
I'll be true, I'll be useful, I'll be cavalier,
I'll be yours my dear
And I'll belong to you
If you just let me through
This is easy as lovers go.
So don't complicate it by hesitating.
This is wonderful as loving goes.
This is tailormade,
What's the sense in waiting?
I said, "I've got to be honest,
I've been waiting for you all of my life."
For so long I thought I was asylum bound,
But just seeing you makes me think twice.
And being with you here makes me sane.
I fear I'll go crazy if you leave my side.
"You've got wits,
You've got looks,
You've got passion,
But are you brave enough to leave with me tonight?"
Tonight
Tonight
You've got me
I'll be true, I'll be useful, I'll be cavalier,
I'll be yours my dear
I'll belong to you
If you just let me through
This is easy as lovers go. So don't complicate it by hesitating.
This is wonderful as loving goes.
This is tailormade, what's the sense in waiting?
This is easy as lovers go. So don't complicate it by hesitating.
This is wonderful as loving goes.
This is tailormade, what's the sense in waiting?
This is easy as lovers go. So don't complicate it by hesitating.
This is wonderful as loving goes.
This is tailormade, what's the sense in waiting?
As the Deer
As the deer panteth for the water,
So my soul longeth after you.
You alone are my heart’s desire
And I long to worship you.
You alone are my strength, my shield.
To you alone may my spirit yield.
You alone are my heart’s desire
And I long to worship you.
You're my friend, and You are my brother
Even though You are a King.
and I love You more than any other
So much more than anything.
I want You more than gold or silver
Only You can satisfy
You alone are the real joy giver
And the apple of my eye
Because my work schedule has changed, I cannot afford to go to school this sem. I filed for an LOA this afternoon and since this is the first time and I'm still technically new to the school I was clueless. It was tiring but I got all the signatures I needed.
Some of the offices I went to didn't even checked their records. They just signed the form. I guess face value was enough. wehehe
I'll miss school even if I just went there twice a week last sem. I don't like doing papers and projects but I like being inside the classroom especially if you are not required to recite. I'm more of a listener.
Hmm.. This is a boring entry. Well, I just wanted to activate my webmail account to check my grades but I found out that I can only do that using computers inside the campus. Too bad..
I have no idea what grade I got for my other 2 subjects. The classcards are not yet available. But I got a "1.0" in one of my subjects. Tsamba! :)
That's all for now. My life is getting boring. I'll need find new adventures so my posts wouldbe more worthwhile to read.
i tried pero mahirap tlaga. tama ako na bigyan lng ng 3 months after maayos dahil somehow, i knew na mangyayari ulit. it was an 11-month love-hate relationship. and i need to let you go.
anyway, ano ba magandang kwento?
---------------------------------
teka pala, gusto ko pa sabihin na:
gusto ko manood ng game bukas! ONE BIG FIGHT!
kaya lng mag class ako ng 4pm bukas. to cut or not to cut?
saka pala, iboto nyo si POW sa Philippine Idol. wala lng. nakakaaliw sya e. hehehe
yun na!
school
-- 1 month. wala pa naman masyado requirements. hmm.. mali pala, ndi ko pa lang pala sinisimulan. but i've been reading the articles, etc. medyo nauuna pa nga ata ako ng kaunti. the problem is, ndi ko masyado naiintindihan! lagot
walang pasok last Thursday kasi may bagyo. ngaun lng ulit ako affected ng mga ganyang pangyayari sa loob ng 2 years. ksi lagi kami may pasok d2 sa office pati holidays.
work
-- ndi na masyadong nakaka-harrass pero ndi rin naman petiks. tama lang. plus, nakakapanood ako ng Greys Anatomy pag lunch time or when i'm downloading something.
family
-- ano ba? once a month na lang ako nakakauwi ngaun e. pero ok naman, medyo madalas namana ako magtext at tumawag lately. saka, ninang is currently in davao visiting mel and his family. so yun, medyo madalas dn sila magtext sa kin to update and ask questions. example: pano magpa-rebook ng flight? pano mag-email ng pictures?
oo nga pala, mommy almost won sa mega lotto. she got 5 out of the 6 numbers. so, i'm still far from being kidnapped. hehe sayang nga e, pero nakaka-excite pa din. yun ang masarap e, yun you're almost there and you realize that's it's really possible.
whew.
Yep. I'm back in school.
If you ask me why, I'm sorry but I can't give you a definite answer. It's a mixture of I'm-a-little-bored and Maybe-I've-always-wanted-to-do-this and I'm-just-trying-to-figure-out-if-this-will-work-for-me, etc etc.
Anyway, I'm taking 3 classes this sem in UP Dil. If everything goes out well, I can finish the Certificate in Professional Education Program in 1 year. My classes would be every Monday and Thursday (4 - 830pm).
Last Thursday was my first day in school. Good thing that Rowick and I are classmates (she graduated there) because I feel like a freshman (meaning: lost).
---------------------
We met Christopher at McDo Quezon Ave after class. As we were about to finish eating, I realized I left something in the classroom (@#$%^&!!!). So we went back --Rowick and I rode on a jeepney while Christopher followed us on his motorbike.
The rooms were already closed so we didn't get the chance to check if the lost item was there. I went back the following morning and still I'm unable to find it (@#$%^& talaga!!!). I'll post more about this next time.
Going back, we needed to go home since it's already gettin late. This time, the 3 of us rode the motorbike. I was hesitant to do so because it's just plain dangerous. But what the heck, it's fun!
There were only 2 helmets so we girls get to wear 1 each. I kept telling C to be careful because R and I wants to get married someday. And its unfair that he is the only one to experience it.
I was still able to write this post, so obviously we got home safely that night. R's place in only in Project 6 so C and I had to travel all the way from Visayas Ave to Makati.
It started to rain half-way of the trip. But C has raincoats so it wasn't a problem. The ride was fun but a little scary when buses and cars pass by our little motorbike left and right. And your butt hurts after.
It was a great expereince but I'm not sure if I'd do it again.

How are you feeling today?
Carve Your Heart Out Yourself by Dashboard Confessional
Man it takes a silly girl to lie about the dreams she has
Lord it takes a lonely one to wish that she had never dreamt at all
Oh look now, there you go with hope again
But I'll be sure your secret is safe with me
Oh, you're so sure I'll be leaving in the end
Treating me like I'm already gone
But I'm not, I will stay where you are always
I will stay, I will stay, I will stay (all of now)

Out of those chains, those chains that bind you
That is why I'm here to remind you.

On May 13 – 14, 2006, 68 volunteers brought up 535 sets of school supplies to the children of Lacub, Abra, Cordillera Autonomous Region as part of the BIG BROTHER BIG SISTER (BBBS) outreach project.
2 buses left the Cubao terminal at 830pm (Friday) heading to Bangued, Abra. We arrived at around 5am and quickly ate our breakfast and then transferred our backpacks and the school supplies to the 3 jeepneys.
The manong drivers ate their breakfast halfway of the trip. We had our pictures taken during this time.
After 4 hours of the dusty and bumpy (no kidding) jeepney ride, we reached the school where we are staying.
Lacub is a huge town -- around 30 000 hectares with only 30 000 people. They had to walk long distances to go go from one place to another, especially the children going to schools.
This becomes a problem during the rainy season because the dirt roads become muddy and its difficult to walk up or down.
An hour later, we're off to the mountains..
It took us around 6-7 hours to go up Mt. Inuman and back to the school.
There was dinner and a cultural night program. Mostly, dancing and eating. Each of us were asked to join the group dance and the courtship dance. It was a bit embarassing to dance with the locals but after a while all of us started to enjoy the expereince.
Their local rice wine was not for me, though. I didn't like the taste.
The following day's call time was 5am. Tiredas we were, we all got up as soon as they start "banging" the doors.
There was a program for the kids -- games, singing, dancing. Then, we taught them how to make pin wheels.
Kudos to AMCI and the BBBS organizers. Till next year!
